Replacement Of Missing Teeth With Dentures
One of the common problems that affect the quality of life in elderly age is complete or partial loss of teeth. It literally makes them disables as they can’t eat or chew the food they love and this ultimately affects their overall health.
At Ivory dental clinic we believe that everyone deserves a quality life and that’s the reason we offer denture treatment at affordable cost for elderly citizens in Seawoods and Navi Mumbai. Dentures are nothing but removable appliances with natural looking artificial teeth attached to a plastic/acrylic base which is placed onto your gums.
Patients who do not have any teeth can go for this option in removable and the only fixed option is implants. After removal of all your teeth, your facial appearance starts to change. Your lower lip starts to draw in and can be prevented by placing full set dentures. Dentures can also be placed as a temporary option until you get your implants placed.
1st Visit: We first need to check the condition of your gums. Also we check for any allergies with any material that we use and whether it is suitable or not. Then, an impression of your gums will be taken.
2nd Visit: From the lab, we get special trays made out of the impression and again an impression is taken but this time with another material to record all the details of your gums.
3rd Visit: A few measurements are taken and height of the face and jaws are recorded, which will help us to set the teeth in its correct place.
4th Visit: A temporary denture is received with artificial teeth set up and is then checked in the mouth for proper biting, chewing and tongue movements.
5th Visit: After confirming the temporary, a final denture is received which is then placed firmly on your gums. Directions and instructions are given to the patient.
Note: This process takes 5 visits. But, this can be done in 2 or 3 visits also depending upon the situation.
